CLARINET LESSONS

I'm considered to be one of the top Clarinet Teachers in the Philadelphia area by Band and Orchestra Directors who have sent their music students to me for over 25 years. I teach wind students who are members of the Delco, Montco, and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestras. I've also taught numerous 1st Chair placements in Regional Band, All State Pennsylvania Band (including 2008 1st Chair Alto Sax, 2009 2nd Chair Clarinet, 2010 1st Chair Clarinet), 2009 and 2010 1st Chair District 12 Band, and have had students who have won and others who have been finalists in the International Clarinet Assc. Artist Competition - I hold the record as the only teacher under 30 years old to have a winner of that International Artist Competition (I was 28 back in 1992 when my student won 2nd Prize - the Competition is up to age 27). I was the Clarinet Faculty of the FAME International Music Festival (Princeton, NJ) replacing Principal Clarinetist Philadelphia Orchestra Anthony Gigliotti. Other FAME faculty included Julius Baker (New York Philharmonic), Ransom Wilson (Yale), Dale Clevenger (Chicago Symphony), Erick Friedman (Yale - only Violinist to have ever recorded with Jascha Heifetz), John Mack (Cleveland Orchestra), Norman Carol (Concertmaster Philadelphia Orchestra), and for Jazz the Marsalis family (Wynton's Father, and Brother Delfeayo). That festival ended in 1999 (a chinese web company bought the current url for the festival and just changed the dates to try to look legit, it isn't .

I really enjoy teaching, have a very modern studio that's easy to get to, and have a waiting area for parents. I also accept beginners as my only requirement is that the student work hard. I motivate them to do just that.
